Hey,

I’m Riddhi, a lifelong artist and entrepreneur based in Chennai, India, with a background in illustration and fashion management. I like making things that feel joyful, a little nostalgic and occasionally a little odd.

Growing up between Chennai and Thanjavur, a lot of my work is inspired by South Indian design, culture and colour, along with the antiques and objects from across the world that I’m endlessly curious about. I love folk art, Peranakan and Chinese art, Eastern European folk traditions, old textiles, patterns, ceramics, and pretty much anything with a bit of history behind it.

I’m always looking, collecting and finding inspiration, whether it’s in a museum, an antique shop, a grocery store, or somewhere new I happen to be travelling.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Stella Maris College and a Master’s in Fashion Management from NIFT. Somewhere along the way, I decided to turn my illustrations into a full-fledged business, which led me to create Odd Trunk, a brand that brings my illustrations to life as whimsical home décor, souvenirs, and stationery. Odd Trunk is now stocked at a growing selection of independent gift stores across India and internationally.

Alongside my own brand, I love collaborating with people and businesses around the world to create illustrations that feel personal, joyful, and memorable.
